Rememb'ring that caress: sadness in your eyes
upon the sweater, now I realize
it was a gesture of your departure
celebrating our last meal together :
Love is so unwise!

Hugging that sweater: my silly love tries
to hold and capture, pheromones disguised
as living bodies full of love's rapture
nothing can destroy destiny's nurture :
Love is so unwise.

Nothing more mysterious than love's surprise
rising from mists behind which hide blue skies
bringing white bird: a childhood's dream-creature
symbolic of love's eternal treasure :
Love is so unwise.

Rememb'ring that caress : sadness in your eyes
nothing can erase love of such high prize
not even heartbreak caused by cruel rupture
what you love best stays sure: of nature pure:
Love is so unwise.
